A non-routine task is work not normally done by the employee\, and where they have little or no experience. Roof repair\, construction\, painting\, trenching\, and welding are some examples of non-routine tasks in agriculture.\n \nEmployees performing non-routine tasks without a standard operating procedure\, sufficient training\, or required protective equipment can suffer severe injuries and even death.
