Animal contact incidents are a leading type of work injury on a dairy. Sudden cattle movement can result in severe employee contusions, crush injuries, fractures and even death. To minimize risk, dairy employees need to be well-trained and constantly alert when handling cows and bulls. They must be able to identify warning signs of animal aggression and fear.
 
This course provides an overview of dairy animal behaviors and important safety techniques to help employees avoid animal contact injuries.
