The California Association of Mutual Water Companies (CalMutuals) Joint Powers Risk and Insurance Management Authority (JPRIMA) was established through CalMutuals advocacy with the California’s legislature and passing of AB 656 in September 2015.   As a public agency, we are committed to providing quality insurance products that blend competitive rates with meaningful value-added services and impeccable financial security.

JPRIMA provides proprietary property & liability, workers’ compensation, and pollution liability products to its members. There is no joint and several liability, financial liability, or assessments for participating members within JPRIMA.

Beyond our commitment to providing quality insurance, CalMutuals JPRIMA is committed to assisting small water systems. Residuals from CalMutuals JPRIMA insurance proceeds are invested in programs and services to support small systems and disadvantaged communities.
