Alex Rodriguez is the President & CEO of Diversity Consulting Group LLC (DCG), a certified Minority Business Enterprise he founded in 1995, specializing in strategic communications. Since the mid-1980s, he has advised major organizations like Sears, Adidas, and American Express on marketing, government relations, community affairs, public affairs, and public relations. Before launching DCG, Alex served as Executive VP of Hispanic Business Magazine’s Strategic Services Group. In 2006, he was appointed to the Board of the 19th District Agricultural Association by Governor Schwarzenegger, later serving as President for four terms. He also was named President of the Santa Barbara County Finance Corporation in 2021.
Alex also brings robust experience within the water industry. He currently serves as the Board President of La Cumbre Mutual Water Company, an active CalMutuals member since 2014. He was appointed to the EPA’s National Drinking Water Advisory Council in 2021 and the Central Coast Regional Water Board in 2023. His community involvement includes roles as Secretary of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, President of the Santa Barbara Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Treasurer of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
Alex has completed programs at Antioch University (B.S.), UC Santa Barbara, and Dartmouth University. A native of Southern California, Alex resides in Santa Barbara with his wife and son.
