EFCN Webinar: Are Your Rates Affordable? Understanding Affordability and How to Self-Assess Your Rates

As demographic and economic patterns shift, utilities not only face a challenge providing clean and safe water services, but also must grapple with how to price their services affordably. In this 90-minute webinar, experts from the Environmental Finance Center Network will walk you through the basics of affordability, several self-assessment strategies for understanding water rate affordability, and how to prioritize affordability in utility decision-making. The webinar will feature a demonstration of the Southwest Environmental Finance Center’s Water Affordability Self-Assessment Tool (WASA) and the University of North Carolina’s updated Tableau based Affordability Assessment Tool.
