The webinar will address requirements of SB 998 (implementation date February 1, 2020 or April 1, 2020, depending on number of service connections), which restricts water shut-offs for non-payment and, among other things, mandates a 60-day waiting period for terminating delinquent accounts. The webinar will also provide an update on the status of AB 401, the Low-Income Water Rate Assistance Act and the solutions that are being discussed. Both of these bills will have a big financial and operational impact on water utilities and every utility finance department.
