Two primary tools for a small water system to become and remain viable are developing and maintaining comprehensive budgets and capital improvement plans (CIPs). This workshop will show board members, managers and operators how to develop a budget, including necessary capital improvement needs, methods to balance the budget, and how to review a budget comparison report on a regular basis. It will also show you how to develop a realistic CIP and achieve the goals of the plan through your budget.
