JUNE 3, 2016 Annual Meeting (Temecula)
CalMutuals 2016 annual meeting took place in Temecula. In addition to the election of board members and officers, a free seminar (valued at $750) was included as part of meeting: The Basics of Operations Management for Mutual Water Companies. CalMutuals President, Lisa Yamashita-Lopez, and Executive Director, Adán Ortega also presented status reports on legislative and regulatory priorities in Sacramento.
JULY 9, 2015 Workshop (Bakersfield)
CalMutuals hosted a workshop covering Trailer Bill 825 (Drought Water System Consolidation) granting the State Water Board the authority to mandate the consolidation of a public water system that fails to supply safe drinking water. The workshop also discussed funding opportunities for public water systems that choose to voluntarily consolidate.
MAY 8, 2015 Quarterly Roundtable (Montebello)

FEBRUARY 20, 2015 Annual Meeting (Chino)
CalMutuals annual meeting took place in Chino with the election of 2015 Board of Directors, a recap of 2014 accomplishments and a discussion around 2015 goals.
OCTOBER 24, 2014 Quarterly Roundtable (Anaheim)
State Assemblyman Tom Daly (AD 69) and Attorney Jeremy Jungreis (Senior Counsel at Rutan and Tucker, LLP) joined our October roundtable in Anaheim.
OCTOBER 10, 2014 AB 54 Training Webinar
Participants were able to utilize the skill and expertise of CalMutuals to satisfy California’s legal requirement (AB 54) to train their mutual water company’s directors. Certified trainers provided an overview of AB 54, duties of board members of a mutual water company, duties of a corporate director to avoid financial conflicts of interests in contracts, duties of public water systems to provide clean drinking water, long term management of a public water system, and more. As a bonus, we also provided a review of AB 240 requirements for mutuals.
JULY 11, 2014 Quarterly Roundtable (Rancho Cucamonga):
